Basic Reader includes additional decodable stories that correspond to an enriched passage. It is the fourth book in the Basic Fluency® program and provides an opportunity for students to begin to transfer their emerging decoding skills. While these passages are non-controlled they are highly decodable, with a higher than average amount of words that are closed syllables with short vowels. The Basic Reader contains 5 stories with corresponding wordlists, phrases, and phrased and un-phrased passages. The Fluency Readers are consumable so that each student can have his/her own Reader to keep track of fluency progress. A graph is provided for each passage. Although originally designed to supplement the Wilson Reading System® 3rd Edition, this product is compatible with the 4th Edition.
